In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the English Montreal School Board has begun making a list of general educational activities available to parents and students via two websites: www.emsb.qc.ca/emsb/community/education and https://ecoleouverte.ca/en. The latter emanates from the provincial government. These activities are optional and will not be graded nor count for marks.
In an effort to provide children with engaging activities that they can do at home, in green spaces or in their communities, the English Montreal School Board’s Before and After School Enriched (B.A.S.E.) Daycare Program has launched its digital learning initiative called B.A.S.E. at Home.
Following the closure of schools in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, various staff members from the English Montreal School Board Alternative Outreach High School network took it upon themselves to assist those in need. They have done so through the production of food baskets, which were delivered to the homes and families of 20 students.
